In addition to this weekend's closure, the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 southbound will permanently close effective 5 AM, Sunday, May 4 for demolition and reconstruction. The closure of this ramp marks the last of the eight ramp closures associated with the I-10/Beltway 8 Interchange Reconstruction and is expected to re-open October 2008. All I-10 eastbound traffic destined to Beltway 8 northbound and southbound will now be detoured to continue eastbound and take the Gessner exit, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road, enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes and take the new I-10 westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 northbound. Northbound traffic will continue north while southbound traffic will exit at Hammerly, U-turn to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and enter the Beltway 8 southbound mainlanes from Hammerly. Motorists are reminded to expect multiple total and alternate lane closures and should be prepared for traffic delays when traveling in the vicinity of the I-10/Beltway 8 Interchange. Traffic will detour right on Westview, turn left on Brittmoore, right on the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8 southbound. U11 Announcement: As was done this year, EDDOA will offer League play in 2008-9 for the U11 age group in both the 8v8 and 11v11 formats. The 8v8 League will be played in the fall and spring. The U11 League will conclude prior to Cup play in the spring. Revised April 1st - Next Coaches Meeting Wednesday - NOTE: I believe I have fixed the problem with some teams not being able to put in scores. It seems that because the link from this site to the affinity site was not opening in a new window, it must have been creating a security issue. I now have this fixed and have already had some people, that were having the problem, tell me that this fix has resolved the issue and they can now enter the scores. Also, I have fixed the issue for the U17 and older teams...You should now be able to activate up to the 22 player limit.

From the Administrator... Any transfers, releases, or adds are still handled by the Association you orginally signed up with. Also you still must complete the Transfer/Release Form and send it to the appropiate Association before it can be processed. STYSA requires that each Association have a signed copy of this form. Next Season I will remove the Super 2 label from any of the Flight names and they will Only show Classic, Competitve, Silver, and Bronze which may help with some of this. I am also looking at changing the way the whole schedule template is laid out. I have figured out a means to organize every age group so that when you view schedules and stats it will then be similiar to what we use to have. This should make it easier to navigate,by not having such a long list to look through, and teams should be able to better figure out which buttons to click. Spring Cup Fees Versus League FeesSpring Cup Fees...In the past, I was able to allow teams to apply any credits due them to the Spring Cup fees or anything else they might need to. Since I used a simple accounting method and all of the team fees were paid directly to the EDDOA I was able to generate information quickly and a whole lot faster. Because of all the changes this year, it has basically been a nightmare for me in trying to keep up with everthing, the number of games each team played versus not played, who had a full crew of refs and who didn't, how many players each team had or still has, when did they register or release, how many transfers an team has or used, and the list goes on and on. I have received numerious emails, especially from the older age group teams, that have credits due to them and want me to apply thier credits to one of the Spring Cups. Because of the higher ups at STYSA deciding that all fees go directly to STYSA, this year, I am unable to apply these credits to the Cup fees. Teams need to pay the Cup fees to STYSA and I will then have to issue refunds to all the teams due a refund. League Fees ...All registration and game fees for EDDOA teams still need to be paid to EDDOA and you can use this chart to calculate what you owe (Click here for a list of the fees due.). I have added the Transfer fee to the top of the chart. You need to pay for every player that was on the roster. Their are no credits for players that have released, transfered or just doesn't show up anymore. Once they have been put on the roster you owe the fees. STYSA charges us so we have to charge you. Also, everything needs to stay on a team by team bases and if a team owes it pays, if we owe a team we will pay that team...I can not apply credits from one team to another team in the same club and refunds are made payable to the team name or the coach/manager. As soon as we finalize the club aspects of the league, then I will be able to do this. I have spent almost all of my spare time writing an application that allows me to convert the data from Affinity into my system so that I can generate all of the information needed on the teams. I have this application almost completed and I can now download an convert the schedules each week and update the ones in my system so that I am able to pay the officials weekly, I am also able to convert the players and adult files but am having a few issues with Transfers and Releases and the all famous KidSafe Pass. I am in hopes of finishing the accounting portion of this in the next couple of weeks so that I can issue invoices and/or print refund checks to the teams. Needless to say it has been a very hectic season and I have watch us go from being an independent league to a very dependent league. Not happy about it but c'est la vie!
